We are pleased to invite you to share your views on the proposed development at Upper Callerton, Newcastle.

Introduction

The 97ha site has been allocated for a housing-led development in Newcastle City Council’s Core Strategy and Urban Core Plan. This consultation relates to the form of the proposals coming forward at the site. This consultation sets out a proposed Masterplan for the site, as well as a range of detailed technical information about the proposal and design.

The site is in multiple ownership, and the landowners have formed a consortium to progress the planning application and subsequently the development of the site. The consortium, known as the Upper Callerton Consortium, have come together to develop a cohesive masterplan for the whole site. The individual plots of land will then be developed by the members in line with the approved masterplan.

The team contains four land-owning parties; Northumberland Estates, Taylor Wimpey, Persimmon, and the Quadrini Family, with Lichfields acting as the planning consultants for the consortium.
